A series of six bomb attacks across Iraq have left over 60 people dead and at least 200 injured, say Iraqi police. Explosions struck in the capital Baghdad and the southern city of Hilla.
Twin bomb blasts hit near a restaurant in Hilla, killing 35 people and injuring 32, say local police.
In Baghdad a series of bombings targeted a Shia Muslim festival, causing multiple casualties. Pilgrims had gathered to celebrate the anniversary of the death of Shia imam Moussa al-Kadhim.
There has been a wave of attacks recently against Shia Muslims in the country.
The latest spate of violence erupted on Sunday when a mortar attack on a religious shrine killed four people in the capital.
